Start point: Old Station Tintern (SO536006).

Distance: Approx 7 miles

Time to walk: Approx 3 hours

Description: Easy 7 mile walk along the route of the Wye Valley Railway. This is a linear walk along the banks of the Wye and for most of the route follows the track of the disused railway track. Parts of the original route are now in private hands and the walk will be along the opposite bank of the river. Whether you’re a railway buff or you simply enjoy the beauty of the lower Wye Valley this is the walk for you. This walk follows on from last years first stretch from Chepstow to Tintern Station.

Terrain: Generally flat with some slight inclines. Toilet near the start point.

For your rucksack: Camera, water and light snacks. Refreshments at Tintern and Redbrook.
