Description: A delightful and exhilarating walk following, in part, the Beacons Way via Great Llwygy Farm (where birds of prey can be seen in their aviaries), along part of the Hatterall Ridge where magnificent views of the surrounding countryside can be enjoyed. The route then passes Yewtree and Boxtree cottages before contouring down to Blaenyoy and then cutting across fields up to the twisted and bent church of St. Martin, Cwmyoy, which dates back to the Middle Ages. Return to the Skirrid Mountain Inn is via public footpaths, quiet lanes and minor roads.
Terrain: Four moderate slopes and some stiles. There may be some muddy and wet places.
For your rucksack: A packed lunch, drink and of course a camera.
