Gill Wakley is Chair of the Abergavenny Local History Society.
Abergavenny Local History Society helps people to find out more about the history of their local area and to put it into context with historical events elsewhere. We organise talks and a summer visit programme. We publish books, pamphlets and DVDs and carry out projects which enhance the understanding of local history.
From May to September, we organise walks around interesting areas of Abergavenny for members and for the public. We also arrange guided tours for groups on request. Details are given in the press, on posters and the walks page of the website.
