Monmouthshire Walking Festival Terms and Conditions
Health & Safety.
It is the responsibility of all walkers to ensure that they are physically fit enough to take part in the walks that they have selected and that they have appropriate clothing and equipment.
- For most walks, walking boots/shoes are essential
- Carry sufficient water for the length of the walk
- Carry both sun protection and wet weather protection
- Take high energy snacks.
In the description of each walk, under the rucksack tip, advice will be given as to whether or not you should bring a packed lunch.
The walk leaders will exercise their right to refuse to take ill-equipped walkers.
Please arrive at the meeting point at least 10 minutes before the start of each walk. Walks will commence at the given time, whether all participants have arrived or not.
The walk leader will be at the meeting place whatever the weather. However, in exceptional weather conditions, the walk may be re-routed or cancelled to ensure your safety. If in any doubt please contact us on 029 20218029 or mobile 07769 802423.
As much as we like them we have made a point as to have no dogs allowed on the walks (unless specifically stated otherwise in the walk details) except for registered assistance dogs. But please be aware that many of the walks involve negotiating gates, walls, stiles and fences and may involve fields with livestock.
The ticket fee per walk is non-refundable. If you are unable to come on the walk then would you be so kind as to inform us at the earliest opportunity since there may be a waiting list for that particular walk.
In the event of a walk being cancelled by the Monmouthshire Walking Festival or a walk leader, participants will be entitled to a refund. Please contact the festival organisers to arrange this.
The organisers of the Festival reserve the right to alter the festival programme without prior notice. The details in this programme are believed to be correct at the time of going to press.
Monmouthshire Walking Festival Group has endeavoured to ensure the safety of all festival participants. It cannot, however, be held liable for any injury or loss of, or damage to, personal property, however caused, except to the extent to which it is unlawful to exclude such liability under the applicable law. You are advised to take out insurance against accident and personal injury.
