Description: An autumn mountain walk starting at Llanthony Priory walking up onto the Hatterrall ridge which we follow south before descending steeply on mountain tracks to visit the crooked church of St Martin’s at Cwmyoy. Then returning through fields along the Honddu valley to Llanthony to visit the ruins of the atmospheric 12th century priory. Find out about the management of the uplands in particular work to improve the habitat for the red grouse.
Terrain: Mountain tracks one steep ascent and descent.
